As well as implementing the actual software, Cambridge Solutions Inc. was responsible for customer service, onsite and offsite training, off site support and customized reports using Hyperion (Brio). In less than a year, Cambridge Solutions Inc. effectively optimized customer service, cash flow and inventory management as well as reduced data redundancies and errors. Cambridge Solutions Inc. still assists the client with quick fixes, technical support and pricing input.
Though growth is always the goal of a business, too much progression may cause problems that could be the ultimate cause of downfall for the company. In our case, the client company had outgrown their current operating system. They then required an expansion of their system in order for it to handle both supply chain processes and accounting. The system lacked the traceability of the process flow required to run a business properly. The results of which included wasted time, working outside the system, room for human error and a lack of accuracy. It is easy to see that the growth that was accumulated was then being lost through the lack of proficient system ability.
In one year, Cambridge Solutions Inc, assisted the client to upgrade to a more sophisticated software to better track their sales and improve their purchasing capabilities. The staff of Cambridge Solutions Inc. implemented a MRP called Global Shop to track materials, process flow and outsourcing resources. Cambridge Solutions Inc. inputted their knowledge and experience to successfully enhance the client’s purchasing system, ultimately increase their competitive advantage and monetary gain. Cambridge Solutions Inc. continues to assist the client with occasional issues including mass system updates and data conversion.
